SagarSarhadi is an Indian short story and play writer, and a writer, director and producer for film. Born in Baffa, he began writing Urdu short stories and then continued as an Urdu playwright. He became popular in films with Yash Chopra's KabhiKabhi, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rakhee.Having written all-time hits such as KabhieKabhie, Silsila and Deewanaand directed a masterpiece like Bazaar, Sarhadi is unarguably one of the finest storytellers in the Hindi film industry. He was awarded with Filmfare Best Screenplay Award and Filmfare award for Best Dialogue.
